Nakia Rimmer is a Senior lecturer and Associate Director of Undergraduate Mathematics at the University of Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Cleveland, OH, Mr. Rimmer has a BS in Mathematics from Youngstown State University, an MA in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Delaware.
CalcCoach.com was born out of a need to provide his course materials (lecture notes, practice exams and actual exams with full solutions, premium videos on exam level questions or higher, and lecture videos) to students not taking the course with him as the professor. Instead of student waiting until he taught the course, they can now have access to all his resources.
Brent is a sophmore studying Computer Science and Cognitive Science at the University of Pennsylvania. He is interested in Artificial Intelligence, Government Contracting, and Human-Computer Interaction. Brent joined the team because he is passionate that his skills will help CalcCoach grow and succeed. When he is not coding, you can find this native southern Californian playing basketball or volleyball.
Alexis Borden is a Senior in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a candidate for a B.A. in biology with a minor in neuroscience and is a four year starter on the varsity softball team. Alexis is interested in attending medical school in the fall of 2015 and is hoping to enter the field of oncology. She joined the CalcCoach business team because she believes that Professor Rimmers videos were the reason she received an A in calculus I and calculus II. She wants other students to have affordable access to the resources and aid that CalcCoach provided for her.
Ashley Montgomery is currently a sophomore in The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She is leaning towards a concentration in finance and runs on the University's cross country and track team. While taking calculus her freshman year she had the opportunity to utilize and benefit from CalcCoach.com. After completing the class she knew that she wanted to be a part of helping CalcCoach.com grow so that it could help others succeed in calculus like it helped her. She believes it is a very powerful resource for anyone looking to ace college calculus.
